At the Wild Animal Park

June 21–September 1
Special Park hours: 9 a.m.–8 p.m.
(stay on grounds until 9 p.m.)
As the sun goes down and the air cools, the Wild Animal Park comes to life with nocturnal creatures and exciting features. The Park’s extended summer hours program lets you stay on grounds until 9 p.m. Features include sunset and nighttime Journey into Africa tours aboard the African Express, unique summer entertainment, up-close animal encounters, outdoor dining, and shopping.
Two new shows this summer!
The Billion Bubbles Show
A Billion Bubbles, Some Balls, and a Balloon
Have you ever been encased in a giant bubble? What about being surrounded by so many bubbles that it feels like you're swimming under water? This summer, get away from the heat and join us for a new, spectacular summer show that's all about bubbles! Nightly at 5 and 6 , plus 7 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays in the Park's Benbough Amphitheater.
The Poop Show
The Wild Animal Park has a HUGE problem. Who is making three tons of poop every day? The animals, of course. All animals poop. Which animal makes the most poop? What can we do with all this waste? If we can recycle poop, we can recycle anything. Join us for a show that explores the ultimate in recycling. Nightly at 3:30, 4:30, and 6:30 in the Park's Discovery Station Amphitheater.
There's more!

Park Master Livingston
Park Master Livingston is back and provides directions and laughter to our guests from 4–8 p.m. in front of the Park's Plant Trader. Captain Cameroon takes up residence in the Heart of Africa where he juggles and does magic as he walks to Simba Station and back to Okavango at 3, 4, 5, and 6 each evening. The Butterfly Wrangler will be out and about in Nairobi Village attempting to herd butterflies for next year’s butterfly display in the Hidden Jungle!
Enjoy entertainment on the Thorntree Terrace Stage Thursdays–Sundays. Josiah and his band, Zawadi, will be delighting family audiences in an interactive and educational way through original and traditional world music and storytelling 3–8:30 p.m.
Master carver Alex Chitura
Master carver Alex Chitura has returned to the Wild Animal Park for the summer, creating beautiful works of art right before your eyes! He can be found at the Park’s Plant Trader Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, 10 a.m.–3 p.m., and Tuesdays and Saturdays, 10 a.m.–7 p.m. His pieces are also available for sale at the Plant Trader and the Bazaar Gift Shop. Read a blog about Mr. Chitura...
Our year-round shows Experience Africa, Animal Trackers, and Frequent Flyers have additional show times this summer. The last Journey into Africa tour departs at 8:15 p.m.
Be sure to check the insert in your Park map for locations and times so you don't miss a thing!
