Extreme Sleepover for Adults
At the San Diego Zoo
Saturday–Sunday, September 11–12
We’re going EXTREME with this campy overnight for sporty, competitive adults (ages 21 and older)!
No one said life in the Animal Kingdom was easy: there’s rough terrain to travel (think rock wall climbing), great distances to leap (think bungee trampoline), and others out to get you (think all the other teams)! So get ready for an evening filled with physical, mental, and creative challenges as teams compete for great prizes (and bragging rights).
Your host, Dr. Zoolittle, and his staff will greet you at check-in with animal friends and explain the rules of the competition. An exclusive bus tour will introduce you to animals that have unique survivor skills, provide helpful clues to the challenges to come, and deliver you to Camp Timbuktu so you can settle down in your tent.
We promise not to make you eat anything gross at dinner (glass of wine or beer included), but all bets are off when the competition begins! Test your bravery and animal knowledge while you explore unique areas of the Zoo to accumulate points. Prowl around after dark to see who thrives in extreme conditions, and get the inside scoop on our animals.
Later, around the campfire, Dr. Zoolittle will add up the scores and announce the winners. After a night under the stars, you’ll awake to a private, hot breakfast overlooking Elephant Odyssey and have a special pre-opening hour experience with some of our larger animals. Then you’ll head home with your team bandana, a special souvenir, and lots of happy memories.
